Philadelphia’s population has grown by 24.2% over the past ten years and majority of the residents are younger going by this recent report. Philly’s cultural prospects millennials – higher education scene in Philadelphia is one best and reasonably priced in the country. It offers wide variety of food, festivals, affordable real estate, to nightlife that invites new generation to make it home

There are more than 92 institutions with nearly 368,000 students attending a school in the Philly metro area. It is not just a vast range of degrees of different interests, but city does offer job opportunities with the gradual increase in the job market. According to the census, in 2013, more than 75% of Center City residents had at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute.

Philly offers a wide range of professional positions – health care, retail, IT, hospitality, education, and research.  CenterCityPhilla.org reports well-educated workers choose to live close to downtown to take advantage of the comprehensive array of cultural, entertainment and dining options. It states that downtown Philadelphia hosts more than 288,000 wage and salary positions with a total payout of more than $13 billion each year. It also expanding the arm of independent workers and start-up businesses.

Either condo or single family home, real estate in Philadelphia offers direct access to the great attractions, dining, shopping and cultural scene that has built the city into a creative melting pot. Philly residents has the option of walking access to new parks and recreation choices, including the Schuylkill River Park, Dilworth Plaza, and Rittenhouse Square. Bankrate.com says the median price for a home in the Philly metro area is $219,600, which offers amenities, proximity to entertainment and access to public transportation that simply can’t be found at such an affordable price anywhere else in the country.

Young families and professionals are laying down roots in Philadelphia. The attractive lifestyle, social atmosphere, and neighborhood appeal of the city draws in more new generation each year helping to boost Philly’s economy and continue to develop the city as one of the most appealing in the country.
